Privacy Policy

1. Information the extension handles

TU BugBridge may handle the following information:

• Bug report text entered by the user, including Summary, Frequency, Preconditions, Reproduction Steps, Actual Result, and Expected Result
• The translation provider selected by the user
• API keys entered by the user for DeepL, Google Cloud Translation, or OpenAI
• User-triggered screenshots of the active tab
• User-triggered screen recordings created through Chrome's screen sharing flow
• Local extension preferences such as saved settings and theme preference

2. How the information is used

• Generate English bug reports from Korean input
• Save the user's selected translation provider and API key locally in Chrome storage
• Save screenshots and recordings to the user's local device
• Restore the user's preferences when the extension is reopened

TU BugBridge does not use this information for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics.

3. How information is shared

TU BugBridge does not route requests through an intermediary server operated by the publisher.

When the user clicks Generate Report, the bug report text and the relevant API credential are sent directly from the user's browser to the translation provider selected by the user:

• DeepL: https://api-free.deepl.com/ or https://api.deepl.com/
• Google Cloud Translation: https://translation.googleapis.com/
• OpenAI: https://api.openai.com/

When the user clicks Capture or Record, the resulting file is saved locally through Chrome's downloads functionality. The publisher does not automatically receive or upload these files.

Other than the direct transmission described above, TU BugBridge does not sell user data and does not share user data with data brokers, advertisers, or other unrelated third parties.

4. Local storage and retention

• API keys and provider settings are stored locally in Chrome storage until the user changes or resets them, clears browser storage, or uninstalls the extension.
• Generated report text remains in the side panel until the user clears it or closes the extension.
• Screenshots and recordings remain on the user's device until the user deletes them.

5. Security

• Translation requests are sent over HTTPS.
• TU BugBridge does not embed third-party tracking scripts.
• TU BugBridge does not load or execute remote code as part of its extension logic.

6. User choices

• Choose which supported translation provider to use
• Save, change, or reset API settings inside the extension
• Choose whether to capture a screenshot or start a screen recording
• Delete downloaded files from their own device
• Stop using the extension at any time by removing it from Chrome

7. Children's privacy

TU BugBridge is intended for workplace and productivity use. It is not designed for children.
